In the beginning, the Google Map feature would open up a description when you tapped on any of the markers, and would then give you gps guidance to that marker from your current location. In the past year or so, the gps guidance has gone away when you tap the marker, and I noticed today that tapping the marker does not even bring up the marker title or description anymore... I have noticed this on both iPhone and Android latest versions... Is this something that can be fixed, or are they permanent changes you have made to the api?
