How many pages are allowed?
I am trying to build a book app, my book will have more than 160 pages, but with ibuildapp I can only create 15. Am I doing something wrong? Thanx!

Hi, thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate your help a lot. I started building an iPad (book) app with one of the three (similar) templates. I immediately saw a page with "Your logo" on top and a rectangle below designated as "Add page". So, by clicking on it I started adding pages, the "Add page" rectangle button was always to be seen after my last page on that screen. After my 15th page, the "Add page" button disappeared. How can i make my app visible to you? I have no problem with you seeing my project. I just want to do an ebook app with 160 html pages with texts and pics.
If you bear with me, I have another question: What is the connection with this procedure of adding pages with the screen that you can drag and drop buttons (home, map, contact etc)? When I stop and then resume work on the project and press the application management panel, sometimes I get to see an iPad with my 15 pages (where as said I can add no more), some other times I see an iPhone with the button configuration screen. What is going on and how do these connect if at all?
1000 thanks from distant Greece! -
Hi loannis,
can you send us the screen of THAT 15th page?
I think the Add Page button didn't disappear on that page but was disabled because you didn't complete that page (missing info).
anyway, please let us know you app name and we will check it.
as of other questions:
1)What is the connection with this procedure of adding pages with the screen that you can drag and drop buttons (home, map, contact etc)?
A: Not sure I understand. you can add other pages connected to other tabs (at the bottom there are tabs) and functionality connected to other pages. did I answer on your question?
2)When I stop and then resume work on the project and press the application management panel, sometimes I get to see an iPad with my 15 pages (where as said I can add no more), some other times I see an iPhone with the button configuration screen. What is going on and how do these connect if at all?
A:
very confusing, I agree. but it's confusing only because you need to chose from them top navigation bar the appropriate application (iPad, iPhone native, Web Apps).

Hi,
thanks for your time, I appreciate it a lot.
My app name is SPIG with 15 *completed* pages, the "add page" button should not have disappeared.
(I also have created the app "SPIG experimental" with 15 incomplete pages and the button disappears again after the 15th page, it should disappear after the first according to your explanation).
I have a fundamental question, which is still not clear to me (and some years ago I got a nuclear physics degree...):
I chose SPIG as a native iPad app (since I desire to create an ebook app).
Do I need to bother with the tab "native iPhone" or not?
If I choose to, how does the button screen connect to the pages I add at the iPad screen???
How can the user start from a button screen, see for example an "about us" button, a "map button" etc and then choose somehow to see the content of the book app (i.e. the pages I am trying to create from the iPad screen)??
greetings and a 1.000.000 thanks! -
Ioannis, that's true, you cannot add more than 15 section on your iPad app - the template doesn't fit into ebook concept. That's out first template which is good for online catalogs, magazines, or blogs. Later on, we'll add e-book templates, with no limitations for number of sections.
Sorry for the confusion.. -
I'm confused about the initial reply that mentions an unlimited number of articles. I'm in a similar position - I started by adding "pages" for each article in my electronic magazine. It sounds like I'll hit the limit at 15 pages -- did I do something wrong?
Also, is there a way to break up long blocks of content across multiple screens without starting a new "page"? It looks like my text extends beyond the background area of the template. -

thanx for all your time,
1. please consider removing the limit of 15 pages for the magazine apps.
2. I am also looking forward to your ebook app templates, I am willing to test them and give u feedback, u saw what I am trying to do with my eBook app SPIG, I wish u can create flexible eBook app templates for presentation of images with their captions combined with other text. Think about a coffee table book design in electronic form!
Thank you again! -
Thanks a lot for your willingness to help!
The 15-page limitation seems to be there still, there is no "Add page" icon next to my 15th page, although the hand now appears as if a link is there, but I click and nothing happens.
Looking forward to your ebook templates in June!
Greetings from the other side of the pond. -
@ ibuildapp, you didn't answer my question. I said your platforms only gives room for apps to be created to function on iphones and androids only. If i create an e-book with your app platform, can users that have other versions of mobile phones be able to download the e-book and make use of it on their mobile phones?

@Rod -
- Change your page type to HTML
- Change the editor to html
- Paste this
<iframe width="700" height="394" src="hxxp://www.youtube.com/embed/aqUC6sVp6Mk?showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
- change hxxp to http
- save
:)
This will display the video in your page. It will force your app to use the native youtube app to play the video, and give you the option to go back into your app. So in all, this is better as you never have to leave your app to view the video.
