Why is the Provisioning Profile not matching the Distribution Certificate?
I'm currently managing my certificates and bundles at the following addresses
"https://developer.apple.com/ios/manage/certificates/team/distribute.action"
In the Certificates section under Distribution I've created a distribution certificate, and in the Provisioning section under Distribution I created a Provisioning Profile. Why is it still giving me this
"Error Provisioning Profile does not match Distribution Certificate". It seems like I've followed the steps in the FAQ correctly but I'm still getting this error message.
This may not be related, but do the file names of these certificates have to be exact?
I have also no Development Certificates or Development Provisioning Profiles created that I am aware of.
Could use any assistance or direction as to what I could possibly do to fix it.

name doesn't need to be exact.
revoke the certificate and Provisioning profile and recreate again.
you may had created it before in a past and apple doesn't like it.
also one app - one certificate, make sure use one certificate for each app. NO 1 certificate - all apps. it's wrong. -
Ok, I think I figured out where I was making the mistake and successfully downloaded the iOS build for my first App. I'd like to create one more application, however I'm not sure yet how to make a second distribution certificate if I can only have one certificate per app. I'll look into this first before I ask any questions about making a second distribution certificate. Thanks for the assistance by the way.

Hmm, I'm trying to create another distribution certificate so I can upload another iOS App. Should I be going through this same process in order to do so?
"Step 1. Create Private Key and Distribution Certificate
Before you can get your certificate and private key ( .p12 file) you have to generate a Certificate Signing Request, download your certificate and install it on your local machine.
1. Generate New Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
Your CSR is successfully generated! Please download it on your local machine Delete CSR
2. Upload Certificate Signing Request to Your developer account
Click here to "Request a Certificate" within the Apple Developer Provisioning Portal.
On the "Request a Certificate" page, scroll down to the bottom and select "choose file". Upload the .certSigningRequest file that you've just created and downloaded on step 2."
I've tried doing this again and it won't let me make another distribution certificate. Any ideas why this is so? -
Mark,
I have been getting the same error as provisioning profile does not match certificate. How did you solve the problem? I had no problem posting to android, but have been trying for hours to generate the iPhone version. Appreciate if you could share how you solved the problem in your case. Thanks.Quote from Mark Langlinais on February 13, 2012, 09:20
