Difference on app for iphone and app for tablet ipad

Hi, I want to know if the only difference between an app designed for iphone device and ipad tablet is the screen size, because they use the same iOS I guess, but I'm not sure if one app for iphone need a lot of time for make changes and make it work on an iPad.

 

could you let me know, in general what need to be done if I want an app for iphone to make it work on an iPad?

  The Mobile App that you build with us cannot be compatible with iPads and tablets. They are compatible with mobile devices.
